ABOUT US

The North Equestrian Centre (established for over 25 years) is situated on the northern outskirts of Adelaide in the suburb of Penfield and is approximately 40 minutes drive from the city centre. Set on the Adelaide Plains, the Northern Equestrian Centre is very accessible via major roadways both north and south, and is in close proximity to the famous Barossa Valley wine region.

The property of 10 acres is home to Clive Reed and his family, and as well as providing excellent training facilities for his own competition horses, is run as a training and agistment facility. The Northern Equestrian Centre is central to most competition venues, and although the property is set in a semi-rural location we are less than 10 minutes away from a major shopping complex.

There are large stables (14’ x 14’) with yards as well as half-acre paddocks. Horse owners have the option of complete care of their own horses or they can have other services provided (ie daily feeding, exercising, training, occasional or full board, etc).

  • Dressage Arena (60mx20m)

Specialist coaches also use the facilities for private and group lessons on a regular basis.

The Northern Equestrian Centre has been frequently used as a “stop-over” by interstate competitors travelling across Australia from the East to the West (and visa versa). There is ample room to park trucks and floats, day yards (or stables when available) for horses and there are full bathroom amenities for the drivers.
