THE STAFF
MORYA
Owner / Rider
Morya manages all aspects of the Reed Equestrian Australia / Northern Equestrian Centre office as well as contributing to the riding
when time permits. She has been involved with horses most of her life and has a background in Showjumping and Eventing before that. Although Morya does not compete anymore, she
does like to ride on the flat when she gets the opportunity Husband and wife work as a team at the showjumping competitions and Clive will rely on her
in the warm-up area and to report on the progress of a particular class whilst he is jumping in another arena.
ELKE
Professional Rider
Elke moved to South Australia early last year when her partner
was transferred here for work. Elke is a German Dressage
specialist with an International Trainers License helping train
all of the Reed Equestrian Australia horses. Her
knowledge, expertise and professional manner is invaluable, and
she is a huge asset to the team working and training horses and
riders alike. Elke's move from overseas, Germany and
then Spain, has been our gain and we welcome her and her
wonderful family which includes "Tarot" semi-retired Hannoverian
Grand Prix Dressage horse, "Jan" an exciting young Andalusian
Stallion and "Tai" the gentle brown Labrador.
CLAIRE
Stable Assistant / Groom
Claire lives locally and has been a great find as she organises the
early morning feeding and cleaning of the stables at the Northern Equestrian Centre during the week
prior to the riding staff commencing their duties. Her
valued role then continues to lunchtime where she works as a
groom in our yard tacking-up and performing the
everyday stable management duties. Claire has always been interested in horses and has several of her own to look after at her family property nearby in Angle Vale.
JASON
Facility Manager / Stable Assistant
Jason works at the NEC on a part-time basis. His main role here is managing the upkeep of all the arenas and general maintenance. We also value Jason's skills with the day-to-day stable duties and his experience working as a Veterinary Assistant for one of the leading equine veterinary practices North of Adelaide is well utilsed. In his earlier years Jason rode competitively and also spent a few years working in the Racing Industry riding track work. In his spare time, Jason is heavily involved in Karate (Black Belt) training and coaching.
GILL
Show Groom
Gill is a life long friend, with a background in showjumping herself. Clive used to ride her showjumper, Regal Claymore in Grand Prix classes up until his retirement. Gill is still part of the team and helps us at most of the competitions working in the background organising the truck, grooming and saddling all of the horses ready for their events and ensuring they are comfortable with rugs, feed and water etc. Gill also assists with other jobs at the competitions such as helping Clive in the warm-up arena. She is always on hand to help Morya with everything at the NEC on weekends and holidays.

PETER
Handyman
Peter is officially "retired" but has worked part-time at the NEC for a few years now. He is responsible for all areas of maintenance on the property whether stables, paddocks, arenas or the house. Our helpful Handyman is always willing to fill the role of plumber, electrician, carpenter, welder, builder, cabinetmaker, painter, gardener, truck/float repairer, and even designer. We would be lost with out him!

LYNDSEE
Guest Rider
Lyndsee has a strong background with horses with mum, dad (our farrier) and sister all involved in horses. Lyndsee is very competitive with showhorses and has had huge success in this field with her family as her support crew. Lyndsee first came to us during a work experience placement and has since offered her time freely during the school holidays. We certainly welcome all of her help and assistance.

ANTHONY
Farrier
Our local farrier Anthony is also a keen rider who is out
performing in the showjumping arena himself. He has been an
integral part of management of the "Team Reed" horses. We
value Anthony's skills as a farrier which has contributed to the
overall well-being and performance of all the horses in our
care. We don't even mind him eating all the biscuits!
