BUSINESS STATEMENT - HORSES FOR SALE
At Reed Equestrian Australia
a core part of our business is sourcing competition/sport horses
for clients in Australia and overseas.
Australia consistently produces quality and world-class
competition and sport horses either from professional sport horse
breeders or through the Thoroughbred Racehorse Industry (which is a
huge industry particularly in South Australia with the likes of the
Hayes family and the famous Lindsay Park Thoroughbred Stud).
Apart from competition horses, we are also skilled in sourcing
riding school hacks and ponies for international clients. Over the
past ten years we have assisted several reputable riding schools
overseas with quality horses for their equestrian establishments.
The types of horses exported have included; educated child’s mounts,
RDA horses and ponies, all-rounders and pony club mounts, as well as
those with formal dressage, showjumping or eventing experience.
We pride ourselves on making available a selection of suitable
horses that fit the criteria set by the client. This includes age,
height, colour, temperament, performance and price. In our
assessment for selection we also make a professional appraisal on
what level they are possible of reaching.
Having a network of agents that we work closely with in Australia
and overseas, gives us the capability to make qualified
assessments and verify all information and performances provided on
any competition horse offered for sale here in Australia and most
overseas.
We are
experienced in assisting all clients with the selection, trial and
purchase of their new competition horses of any level from novice
through to Olympic Games standard.
On behalf of the client we can manage the entire purchase process
starting with the collection of DVD footage; organise itinerary,
flights & accommodation; coordinate the trialling of horses;
arrange the pre-purchase veterinary examination; organise insurance
and transport as required, all the way through to booking quarantine
and shipping placements if required.
Notwithstanding our strive for improvement, our success in this
business over the years has come from having an outstanding
reputation in delivering a professional, comprehensive and personal
service to all clients, with a genuine interest in the after-sale
progress and performance of each horse.
It has not only been a pleasure, but
an honour to be directly involved in the sale
of many successful competition horses over the years, some of
world-class standard. These horses have been exported to countries
such as Germany, Hong Kong, Korea, New Zealand, Singapore and
the USA to name a few.
Jennifer Lee of Hong Kong riding Mr Burns at an Olympic
Games Qualifying event in Spain.
Jennifer’s qualification gained her selection on the Hong
Kong Showjumping Team for the 2008 Olympic Games.
Unfortunately due to an injury, Mr Burns was withdrawn from
the team at the last minute. Although this must have been
devastating for Jennifer, she has to be thrilled with her
qualification – something that most other riders can only
dream about. |

Charlie Cronin of the USA riding Janeil’s Encore at an event in
Vermont.
This
was the second horse purchased by the Cronin family which
stayed in our yard to compete for around 12 months. The
first horse they purchased, On Trak went to Singapore
for a while for Charlie to compete on before coming to our
yard. Both horses eventually moved to the
USA
from Adelaide
when the family’s work commitments took them back home.
This photo is of Charlie and Janeils Encore competing in the
USA.

The
Masson family of Singapore
purchased this talented warmblood performance mare late in
2009 for the whole family to enjoy. Pascale and her
daughters Marylene and Josephine will all share the riding
on this versatile horse in showjumping and dressage
competitions. We wish them every success.

riding Jaybee Schultz
This
photo of Jaybee Schultz (now deceased) was taken at the Australian Showjumping Championships
back in December 2004. Kenneth has since gone on to
not only train and successfully compete in
Europe, but he rode in the Hong Kong Showjumping
Team at the 2008 Olympic Games. What an achievement!
