January 2010
The Lindh-Reed breeding program started with a bang in January with the arrival of our two foals
(a colt and a filly) by Contenda (IMP), out of the Lux Z showjumping mare Lilly.
The twins, carried by separate surrogate mares, were born at Oakside Stud in extreme hot weather conditions early in
January.
Unfortunately, the colt who was born first after a difficult delivery,
suffered multiple complications. Although we made every
effort to save him, he was sadly put down a few weeks
later.
The gorgeous brown filly named Caboom
(pictured) was born safe and sound a few days later with
the heat wave not having any adverse affect on her
health or fitness.
